Darren Franz was named Alaska Regional Business Banking Manager in November 2012. He leads 85 Alaska team members serving business customers from Ketchikan to Barrow. Franz has been with Wells Fargo for 25 years. He joined the company as a management trainee and served as a personal banker, business relationship manager and area president in Kodiak for 12 years. Most recently, he served as Northern Alaska area president for more than six years, leading 125 team members in Barrow, Bethel, Delta Junction, Dillingham, Fairbanks, King Salmon, Kodiak, Kotzebue, Nome, and North Pole. Franz has served in the community as a board member for Alaska Chamber of Commerce, Boy Scouts of America Midnight Sun Council, and numerous community organizations while in Kodiak. Franz is a graduate of the Pacific Coast Banking School, and he holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Eastern Washington University.
